Thun Lounge Chair has a distinctive, unique aesthetic. Inspired by the natural flexibility of an elastic band, the chair has three carefully designed legs that support a sprawling hammock structure. Its sturdy boughs suggest that of an ancient tree, vines coiling gently around its trunk. It is comfortable and stylish, bringing an earthy glow into any space.
The chair is created using rattan, which has been known for its flexible characteristics. This allows a curvy form with multiple facets to be realised, creating a classical look and a strong, rigid structure that can hold a heavy load. This traditional Vietnamese materials is combined with modern innovative design, representing Laita’s design ethos of merging time-honoured artistic influences with modern creative twists.
